AMS students compete at Virtual Scholastic Meet

Several AMS students represented Alva at a virtual scholastic meet hosted by Fairview’s Chamberlain Middle School on November 9^th.  The students took 100 question tests in the subjects of ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Current Events and Humanities.

The following students placed in the Top 10 on their tests:

6^th grade – Conner Adair – 3^rd in Current Events, Taytum Schlarb – 6^th in ELA and 9^th in Humanities, Jagger Lohmann – 7^th in Current Events, Matthew Pannell - 7^th in Humanities and 10^th in ELA, Kaylen Woods – 9^th in Science, River Cunningham – 10^th in Humanities.

7^th grade – Kylie Adair – 2^nd in Current Events, Katelee Martin – 3^rd in Humanities, 8^th in Science, 9^th in Math, Avery Goss – 7^th in ELA, Madeline Ryerson – 7^th in ELA, Myah Graves – 9^th in Science.

8^th grade – Hudson Feely – 1^st in Science and 3^rd in Math, Evan Ferguson – 2^nd in Social Studies, Toby Anton – 3^rd in ELA, Turner Killman – 5^th in Science, Brady Lott – 5^th in Current Events and 7^th in Social Studies, Jaxon Headlee – 6^th in Social Studies, Teagan Cook – 6^th in Humanities, Mason Orcutt – 8^th in Science and 8^th in Math, Kane Towns – 8^th in ELA, Sarah Whipple – 10^th in Humanities.

Other students who competed and were just shy of the Top 10 were:  Dayton Murry, Skyler Longhurst, Tucker Hannaford, Hadlee Ohm, Kenadie Willis, Kimberlie Willis, Cade Mackey, Kaden Lambert.

All students who competed and placed in the Top 3 earned the opportunity to represent AMS at the Tournament of Champions Scholastic Meet at Redlands Community College in El Reno, Okla. in April 2021!
